Treating Cardiac Complaints

Service Description

During this lecture we will review the typical ACS, CHF, and other cardiac complaints in the adult and pediatric patient. The difference is we will take a deeper dive into treatments. This lecture will meet the cardiology requirements for recertification of your NREMT or NRP. Objectives Students will gain an understanding of ACS. Students will know the signs and symptoms of MI and the appropriate treatment for it. Students will know the signs and symptoms of CHF and treatments associated with it. Students will gain a better understanding of inflammation around the heart and issues related to them. Students will know the causes, effects, and treatment of hypertensive emergencies. Students will review and gain a knowledge of new trends relating to management of patients with cardiac complaints. Lecturer: Mr. Adam Culbertson, MS
