Service Description

Identify various conditions that can cause ST elevation, including electrolyte imbalances, bundle branch blocks, early repolarization, ventricular hypertrophy, aneurysm, Brugada Syndrome, inflammation, Osborne waves, and non-ischemic vasoconstriction. Examine how pulmonary diseases such as COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and lung cancer can present with STEMI-like symptoms and impact cardiac assessment. Understand how GI conditions like hiatal hernia, small bowel obstruction, acute pancreatitis, gastric perforation, and esophageal rupture can produce symptoms similar to a STEMI. Recognize the cardiac effects of endocrine disorders such as pheochromocytoma and thyrotoxicosis, and their potential to mimic STEMI presentations.
