Course Objectives (PART 3) -Identifying common respiratory problems in children: Some of the most common respiratory problems in children include asthma, pneumonia, bronchiolitis, croup, and cystic fibrosis, based on the assessments talked about in part 2. -Interpreting the findings of a pediatric respiratory assessment: The findings of a pediatric respiratory assessment can be used to identify respiratory problems and to determine the severity of the problem. -Developing skills in managing pediatric respiratory problems: include administering medications, providing oxygen therapy, and performing suctioning. Medications such as bronchodilators and steroids, Oxygen therapy can be used to increase the amount of oxygen in the blood. Suctioning can be used to remove mucus from the airways. -Gaining knowledge of the latest advances in pediatric respiratory care: The field of pediatric respiratory care is constantly evolving, so it is important to stay up-to-date on the latest advances. This includes new medications, treatments, and technologies. This is a 3-part series. You will obtain 3CEs if you sign up for all 3 lectures. You must sign up separately for each of them.
