Service Description
Understand the Etiology of Shock in Pediatric Patients – Learn the underlying causes and risk factors contributing to shock in pediatric patients, and how these differ from adult shock. Conduct Pediatric Assessments Using the PAT – Gain proficiency in using the Pediatric Assessment Triangle (PAT) to quickly assess and identify signs of shock in pediatric patients. Identify the Different Types of Shock in Pediatric Patients – Understand the various types of shock (hypovolemic, distributive, cardiogenic, obstructive) and the key differences in presentation between pediatric and adult patients. Master Assessment Techniques and Differentiate Between Types of Shock – Learn the proper techniques for assessing pediatric shock patients and develop the skills to differentiate between the types of shock to guide appropriate treatment.
