Understand Pediatric Pain and Its Unique Challenges – Recognize the differences between pediatric and adult pain management, addressing the unique challenges in assessing and treating pain in pediatric patients. Develop Competence in Pediatric Pain Assessment – Learn to effectively assess pediatric pain using age-appropriate methods and tools to ensure accurate pain management. Apply Evidence-Based Pain Management Techniques – Implement both pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management strategies based on current evidence to optimize care for pediatric patients in pain. Enhance Communication and Family-Centered Care – Improve communication skills for working with pediatric patients and their families, ensuring a supportive and collaborative approach to pain management.
