Service Description
Define and Identify Obstetric Emergencies – Understand the types of obstetric emergencies and recognize the most common ones encountered in the prehospital setting. Assess and Manage Emergencies During Gestation – Learn how to assess and manage common pregnancy-related emergencies such as vaginal bleeding, preeclampsia, eclampsia, miscarriage, placental abruption, umbilical cord prolapse, and preterm labor. Identify and Address Complications During Delivery – Recognize and manage complications that can occur during delivery, including prolonged labor, postpartum hemorrhage, uterine rupture, and fetal distress. Provide Newborn Care and Effective Communication – Provide initial care for newborns, including preventing hypothermia, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during obstetric emergencies.
