Understand the Anatomy and Pathophysiology of Intraosseous Devices – Describe the anatomical structures involved and the pathophysiological mechanisms that make intraosseous devices effective for delivering fluids and medications in emergency situations. Identify the Advantages of Intraosseous Devices – Learn the benefits of using intraosseous devices, including their speed, ease of placement, and effectiveness in critical care situations when traditional IV access is difficult or impossible. Recognize Indications for Increased Use of Intraosseous Devices – Understand the scenarios in which intraosseous access is indicated, including critical conditions such as trauma, cardiac arrest, and pediatric emergencies, and learn when their use should be prioritized.
