Course Objectives Capnography for EMTs and Paramedics: Essential Skills for Prehospital Care 1. Define capnography and explain its principles. 2. Identify the different types of capnograph devices and their appropriate use. 3. Interpret capnography waveforms and identify signs of respiratory distress, airway obstruction, and cardiac arrest. 4. Use capnography to guide endotracheal intubation and assess ventilation adequacy. 5. Use capnography to monitor patient response to treatment and identify potential complications.
