Objectives Review the causes and pathophysiology of the hypothermia-acidosis-coagulopathy triad and its impact on the morbidity/mortality of trauma patients. Discuss the clinical and diagnostic signs of the hypothermia-acidosis-coagulopathy triad.  Establish effective treatment strategies to minimize the effects of the hypothermia-acidosis-coagulopathy triad.
