Objectives Gain a comprehensive understanding of the critical role safe driving plays in emergency medical services (EMS) operations. Learn about the various factors that influence driving behavior, both with and without the use of emergency warning devices, such as sirens and lights. Recognize the necessity of wearing appropriate restraints in both the front and patient compartments of the ambulance to ensure safety for EMS personnel. Understand the correct use of pediatric restraint devices based on the child’s age, size, and medical condition to ensure safe transport. Comprehending the various restraint options for adult patients, ensuring their safety and stability during transport, and understanding when to use each device.
